In the Midnight Hour

About

Hi.

Writing about yourself is hard. My name is Lauren Harrison and I’m an 18 year old student from West Yorkshire, England. I’ve just finished a college course and will spend the next three years studying for a Bachelors of Arts in Graphic Design. I hand draw, I take phởtographs, I create fonts and more to create my digital works. My aim is to one day be a freelance graphic designer. I like apples, octopi and dogs way more than any healthy person should like anything. If you wish to know more about me there’s links to things such as my Last.Fm profile and FaceBook in the contact section.

Apple!

In the Midnight Hour is my personal portfolio, resources collection and blog of sorts. I’ve owned the domain for a while now but this incarnation of it was officially born on the 27th July 2010. I formally resided at JoyCrusher.Org and two domains before that. I mainly update with the brushes, fonts and patterns I’ve created for my own use and wish to now share. Hopefully they’re of interest to someone.

Barry the Octopus.

You are currently viewing version two of In the Midnight Hour published on the 16th of August 2010. It features mainly my own stock images, hand drawn elements, fonts and brushes. The hand-drawn text was heavily inspired by The King & Queen font. That badly drawn line-art is supposed to be Morrissey. Try squinting.

Credits

In the Midnight Hour is powered by WordPress. I am hosted by the fantastic Floriental. I was previously hosted by Vicky who was a wonderful host. Some of the brushes in the current design are from Misprinted Type. The font used for main body text is Georgia.
